Bama B&B - Chimes Suite

This is my 5th visit to Bama B&B and I love it more each time, I always feel like I'm coming back to a family home and am greeted like a member of the extended family. The hospitality is so warm and kind. The house and grounds are simply beautiful,every room I've stayed in has been wonderful.

This Bed and Breakfast is a perfect place to stay while visiting your student, or just time to get away from hustle and bustle, as it is settled in a quiet neighborhood. The grounds you can roam and sit quietly and just enjoy the peace. This place is run by a great family that puts the guest first.

This was such a lovely place, Kim was so kind and welcoming. The team here were always so sweet and helpful. The room was really cozy. It felt like being home and was a comfortable place to stay.

We always enjoy our stay at Bama B&B and have been coming here for years. The owners are so friendly and helpful and the accommodations are first rate.

I am in love with this B&B. From the moment I booked my reservation for A-Day, the owners were amazing. The line of communication was immediate, often, and clear. They provide directions and information that are easy to follow. The property is beautiful, well maintained and clean. The inside of the B&B feels like home. They have so many fun options for entertainment on the property, or an option to just relax on the porch. Fresh baked cookies were available upon arrival. My room (Chimes Suite) was clean, cozy and beautiful. Did I mention that it felt like home? I loved that I could walk to the campus, stadium, The Strip, and a grocery store. Close to so many thing. I didn't have to use my car all weekend. One of the best experiences was the breakfast every morning. Fresh coffee, orange juice, eggs, sausage, bacon, grits, and........the fresh baked cinnamon rolls were to die for. The best cinnamon roll I have ever eaten. I love that this is a family owned, and run B&B. They make you feel like family, and make sure you are comfortable, safe, and well fed. I loved everything about this experience. I can't wait to come back. Next time I am bringing my bathing suit for the hot tub!!!

Had an amazing experience. It was my first experience at a bed and breakfast and couldn’t ask for anything better. The house was meticulously kept. My room was adorable and so clean! Breakfast was amazing! Location was perfect! Everyone was kind! Coffee in the rocker on the porch in the mornings couldn’t be more relaxing. Loved everything about it!!! Every time I had back to visit my daughter at the university I will definitely be staying here!

We absolutely loved our stay!! Kim and Marc were the most hospitable hosts….very friendly and made everyone feel welcomed! Breakfast at the dinner table was so quaint and felt like we were eating with family! Kim’s cinnamon rolls and grits were especially devine!! We would definitely stay with them again!!

Hands down-the best B&B we’ve stayed in! Perfect location, beautiful, spotless home. The hosts were great! Kim invited us to show up early and upgraded our room, because we happened to be there on a quiet night-the calm before football season hit! So many thoughtful extras make this place a standout!

After staying for a week at Bama Bed and Breakfast, I was curious to find out what frequent visitor's think makes a great Bed and Breakfast great. I waded though a couple pages of online testimonials and nothing really stood out that I wouldn't expect where ever I stayed. So I changed my search to read, . . . . . what makes a "Southern" B&B great? Well, I'll be dad-gum if Marc and Kim Roberts picture, with the whole daily crew, popped up as the standard bearer to what makes a Southern B&B great. Their personal stories about Bama B&B, the details about the home and the estate, Marc's infectious early morning prayer to kick off the day, the daily description of a Southern Breakfast that makes your mouth water before Kim can finish explaining how it's prepared, and the reasons why people keep coming back cannot be captured by words on a page. When you visit Tuscaloosa, Alabama the ambiance of a great Southern B&B is always there to welcome you. The friends you make there are free.

I stayed for three days at Bama B & B while in town to visit cousins I had not seen since before the pandemic. Mark and Kim and Amanda were extremely kind and welcoming hosts. The beautiful home’s parlor and large screened-in porch perfectly accommodated the reunion with my cousins. We were able to sit comfortably and talk for several hours; there is even a toy area for children (which we appreciated). Breakfasts are a delicious, special occasion at Bama B & B. The home made cinnamon rolls were particularly spectacular. All told, I had a great stay at Bama B & B and will definitely return there again the next time I’m in Tuscaloosa. Highly recommended!

This was our second time staying at the Bama BnB. As expected it was a wonderful experience. True southern hospitality! Whenever we travel to Tuscaloosa this is our go-to, “first search” place. Definitely plan on returning!

We spent the night here and had an extremely good time, host was very warm and knowledgeable about the area. Recommendation of a oyster house was a complete surprise and food was excellent. The breakfast was out of this world delicious. Beds were very comfortable, house was very quite so as to enjoy the peace.

Everything was perfect! Peaceful, comfortable beds, wonderful breakfast, and I loved getting to know Kim and her family as well as the other guests. Next time I’m in town, I will definitely book a room here!

I stayed for 6 nights in the Chimes suite for a business trip at UA and could not be more happy with my stay. Even though my work started before the usual breakfast time, they had hot coffee ready for me and gave me a breakfast bag each day - including the day I left! They even packed something for the coworker who was driving me home. The B&B itself is a great building. There are two porches with rocking chairs and a lovely garden. It was luxurious but also felt like a home. I made friends with Callie who is the most adorable cat I’ve ever seen. I used the laundry mid-week and everything in the facility was nice and clean. Housekeeping in the room was also very thorough. I thought I would feel out of place coming in from Massachusetts but I felt right at home. The family that runs this B&B is down to earth and very easy to talk to. I didn’t feel intimidated or overwhelmed by them and they had great info about the area. I will absolutely stay again the next time I’m down! Roll tide!

We have stayed here multiple times and have had a great experience every time. The attention to detail is admirable. Rooms were comfortable, clean, and stocked with goodies. I don’t have enough room to describe breakfast. It was fantastic. We’ll be back!

We stay at Bama B&B often when we are in town to see our son. We love it there and we especially love Kim’s breakfast. We always look forward to our stays there. I highly recommend.

This beautiful, renovated old home is the perfect place to stay for a visit to Tuscaloosa. The hosts are all-welcoming, generous, and accommodating. Breakfast in the morning is top notch. Located on the edge of campus, close to grocery stores and eateries. Highly recommend and plan to stay again soon!

This location is ideal. Easy access to most everything, with helpful and engaging staff, which gives you the feeling that you are with family.

I was there for a mid-road trip overnight, but I did pack a swim suit to enjoy the hot tub. Beautiful spacious home, very warm hospitality, comfortable room and bed, scrumptious breakfast, gorgeous neighborhood for walking.

I cannot say enough about Bama B&B. Our host were welcoming, friendly and very organized. The room was spacious, well stocked and lovely. Breakfast was amazing and we couldn’t help but go back for seconds. We felt quite at home there. The location is perfect for any Alabama fan, especially if you want to park your car for the weekend and enjoy the campus and walk to the stadium. We can’t wait to go back!

A beautiful home with very friendly owners. The room was wonderfully furnished and the breakfast was beyond delicious! Would recommend this B&B to everyone. Looking forward to visiting there again.

I was blown away by the experience staying at the Bama B&B. Kim is an amazing host - always ready to go above and beyond! - and this home is gorgeous. There are thoughtful touches everywhere! I was surprised how many amenities were in the room. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and with so much offered. I joined the hosts and some guests for happy hour upon arriving and enjoyed talking to everyone. Kim was helpful with suggestions for how to get around town. If you want some true southern hospitality, you have found it! I would stay here again in a heartbeat, and I definitely recommend it.
