Welcome to The Gatsby!
Take a step back into time, and stay in our 1920s Art Deco speakeasy-themed loft. The Prohibition Era was such an interesting time in our history, and we have tried to capture this snapshot in time at The Gatsby. Upon arrival, you must ascend 27 stairs (there is no elevator).
The Location:
When staying at The Gatsby, you will find yourself in the heart of Downtown Tuscaloosa overlooking the magnificent and bustling University Blvd and Greensboro Ave. Intersection. Walk to bars, restaurants, convenience stores, shopping, and more! Just 1 mile from the stadium!
Sleeping & Bathrooms:
There are 2 King Beds & 1 twin futon and 2 full bathrooms. The base pricing is set at 4 people, but the unit can sleep up to 8. Read details on how it can sleep 8. The rooms at The Gatsby are smaller scale & historic rooms.

Game Room Area: Futon with full bath across from it.
Optional Beds: 1 Sectional Sofa and 2 conversational sofas (meant for people under 5'2")

Outdoor Fun:
There is a covered, screened-in porch with comfortable seating, ceiling fan, TV, fire-pit and more! This space overlooks Temerson Square, so you will be privy to lots of activity and marvelous people watching.
Parking:
There is no designated parking, as you are in a loft space in Downtown, facing University Blvd. After 5PM, you are able to park anywhere on University Blvd, but during the day, you will get towed after 2 hrs. You are nearby to a public parking garage that you are able to utilize, or we recommend an Uber/Lyft. Once you arrive, you should not need a car as you are walking distance to everything, or could get a golf cart shuttle.
There are exterior security cameras located at the front and back of the property. These devices may not be tampered with, covered, or unplugged by guests.
**All reservations made within 2 weeks of date of arrival are subject to require in person Government Issued ID verification**
*If your selected property offers the use of (trundle beds, upper bunks of bunk beds, roll-aways, futons, or flip sofas) these beds will not be made up in advance. Linens are provided and should be stored with these beds.
* Please read prior to booking: Be sure to enter the correct number of people to receive an accurate quote/price. Pricing is set for 4 people but the house is able to sleep up to 8.
* Please read prior to booking: Please be aware that upon booking, you will be required to sign the Bama Vacation Rentals Rules forms directly with our property management company texting system called AKIA.**
*For stays that are longer than 2 weeks, please be aware that you will be charged an additional cleaning fee. All properties are required to be cleaned and inspected every other week.*

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The location is perfect, no need for a car but there is free parking nearby. I highly recommend Bama B&B rentals. We have stayed at a couple of their properties and always been happy.

We had a fantastic stay at the Gatsby. There is plenty of space for everyone to spread out, and the unit was well stocked. Additionally, you can't beat the location. The folks from Bama B&B were professional and courteous from start to finish.

We had a wonderful stay at the Gatsby condo downtown. We enjoyed visit our UA college students and cooking them a home cooked meals at the condo. The kitchen was very well stocked to cook any meal imaginable. Clean, comfortable and very large space to hang out. Bama Bed & Breakfast is amazing! Wonderful business to rent from. Thank you!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property for our daughter’s sorority parents weekend. We could easily walk to all the restaurants and bars in the downtown area. There’s plenty of room to spread out so you don’t feel crowded like most hotel rooms. I was a little concerned we might have noise from nearby businesses but not at all. The only negative is you have to climb quite a few stairs to get in the unit but that wasn’t an issue for us. Also, we were lucky enough to find parking close by since it was a weekend. During the week, you would need to park in parking garage a block away. Overall, we loved the convenience, amenities and uniqueness of the property plus the ease of booking and communication. Highly recommend!

Beyond what we imagined. Can’t wait to get back there.
This place is amazing. The decor is fabulous, no details were forgotten. The beds were so comfortable, we had the best sleep! We enjoyed the location so much we had to force ourselves to leave and not just spend the whole time indoors. The location is wonderful, walking distance to so many restaurants and shopping. Parking was so easy and didn’t cause any problems. I will check this location first every time I go back to T-Town!
